    As co-director and principle of Community & Ecology Resources, LLC, Bruce Robson has been working on the Pribilof and Aleutian Islands since 1989 as a marine wildlife and fisheries biologist. He has conducted research on northern fur seals, Steller sea lions, harbor seals and ice seals in the Pribilof Islands and surrounding Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands. He has extensive  experience in database design, GIS, and the reporting, editing and publication of scientific data. He has been involved in the Sentinel project since it’s inception as a technical designer and support person for the Sentinel and BeringWatch databases.

    Principal of Pacific Rim Biological, Adjunct Professor of Biology at the University of Victoria, B.C. and a Research Associate at the University of California Santa Cruz, Institute of Marine Sciences. Dr. Insley has conducted numerous research investigations on pinnipeds (seals and sea lions) and seabirds in a wide variety of field locations and published in the highest caliber peer reviewed scientific journals. He has conducted research on the Pribilof Islands almost continuously since 1988, his principal focus being the ecology, behavior, acoustics of, and anthropogenic impacts on northern fur seals. During this period, a considerable amount of effort has involved community outreach and facilitating local participation in research.
